Sitting in the sun, feeling the spray hit your face, wind blowing your hair, and nothing in the way of wide open sea. I have to say that was one of the best moments of vacation. I needed to relax, and detach myself from the rest of the world, and this one way to really do that. I love the water in all forms anyway. Whenever I need to destress, I try to get to some water somehwere close to home, whether it is our small reservoir near our house or a local river. But this was awesome! I am posting random pics below!
My husband thought it would be cool for our 17 year old to bring us in to dock. I don’t know if you read in my earlier post about the shallow waters and the tides, but as the tides go out, there are very shallow areas and you have to follow the “channel” that is a little deeper. We were chugging right along, when all of a sudden wet sand is flying out behind the boat! We were hitting sand! Needless to say, she turned it back over to her daddy!
The one thing I didn’t get to do (we got too sunburnt to get back in the sun! Couldn’t go early or late due to the tides) was to kayak. That is one thing I definitely want to do sometime soon!
I’ve just got to find a way to bring that peaceful, relaxed feeling back home!

Saying hi from SITS! Your children are beautiful! I, too, find great relaxation from water – preferably the ocean but even a running waterfall in the backyard just somehow calms me down. Nice to find another blogger that is in her 40′s! Come by and say hi when you have time.
Looks like a lovely spot and I’m sure your 17 year old loved bring the boat into dock! The whole atmosphere looks fun and relaxing. Sounds like a total blast.

Looks like a wonderful day, even better that it was with family!
Good for your daughter. She had the courage to try. The water looks absolutely beautiful.
[...] Vacation was good, although it took me too long to unwind. When I returned home, my stress was all still right there. One of my last straws was my boss’s boss stating in a broadcast message that to be able to accomplish the company’s objectives, we were to put forth effort 24/7. It was the next week that I had to prepare and present a mid-year review to my boss. [...]
